DQ, Corn Maze and Texas Roadhouse

Today was a great fun day with Rachel!  These pictures are out of order but hey, at least I got them up :)  Here is Rachel at Texas Roadhouse.  Since she came all of the way from ST. Maarten and didn't get to stop in her home state of Texas.... we had to go here so she could get a taste of home :)  I also loved getting a taste....this place is delicious!
We also went to the Staheli Farm Corn Maze tonight.  It was pretty fun except the corn stalks were whacking us in the faces and legs.  We were itching like crazy when we finally got out of the maze.  They had a small section of animals there too.  Here is the goat.... there were also horses, mini-horses, cows, a pig, lama's, sheep, geese, a turkey, chickens and much more.
Here is Rachel lost in the maze.
Here is me... also lost in the maze.

We hit Dairy Queen for Lunch.... despite it's differences from the Texas DQ we had a fun time :)  So did Kimber!  She was a cheeser!

What another great day!  I can't believe Rachel's week here is already coming to a close!  We've had soooooo much fun having her here!  Tomorrow is going to be great too!  Thanks to Kandice and my mom for watching the kiddo's so Rachel and I can have a good time in Las Vegas!

More fun with the Family

(Here is Alli, Kimber and Holdyn)
Well, we are still going strong!  It is so fun having Rachel here with us! She is a HUGE help with the girls!  It is much easier to go places when we tag team the girls :)
Anyway, besides riding on the Mormon Battalion wagon yesterday in the parade, Rachel has also been pulled along to my family events.  Yesterday we had a nephew get baptized and today was a baby blessing for another nephew. She's quite a sport and probably learning a lot about Mormon culture :)  I've just got a few pictures here of the family gatherings after the events.

These are only a few of the family members.... I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters and a total of 21 grandkids in the family under the age of 10.... that makes for a lot of little kids running around.  We've got some fun plans for the next couple of days. On Tuesday Rachel leaves from Las Vegas at around 11pm so we are spending the day there shopping and seeing the sights and finishing off her visit with the show at Treasure Island.... "Mystere" by Cirque Du Soleil.  We are VERY excited for it but very sad the week is almost up!

More fun Utah Style

Here is Auntie Rachel giving Holdyn a pony ride.  Holdyn LOVES her!
We also went to the Santa Clara Swiss Days Parade.  My dad is involved with the Mormon Batallion... they do the Color Guard for a lot of the parades here in the area.  ANyway, they needed some volunteers to ride on the wagon.
Here is my mom doing the one job she said she didn't want...Holding the horses while the men hitched up the wagon....so I took over so she could relax :)

Here we are on the Mormon Wagon.
Since we were at the beginning of the parade we got to watch most of the parade behind us.  Here is a storm trooper who was nice enough to pose for a picture with us!

Anyway, good times!

See she really is here

Today we went to Zion's National Park... here is Rachel checking out one of the Rock Shops.
Here I am at the head of the Canyon.... we had a blast riding the shuttle and going on a couple of hikes.
Here we are at Weeping Rock...there is wanter dropping off from above, but you can't really see it in the photo.
This is a picture just outside of the National Park.... at an Elk Farm.

Anyway, it was a funfilled day!  We are so glad Rachel is here to enjoy life... Southern Utah Style.

More baby cousins!!

Kimber, Luke, Sophee

Most of you know that my two sisters and I were pregnant at the same time.  Well, we've finally had all of our babies and got them together for the first time.  All of us had exciting pregnancies... mine because we had Kimber on the island of St. Maarten.  Brenda because after 3 girls she finally got her baby boy, and Mindy because it was her first!  They sure are cute!!  I can't wait to see the future mischief that these cousins get into.

Texas part 2

To celebrate a few birthdays (Bobby, Richie, Shaylee, and Amy) we all
went out to a FANTASTIC restraunt called Fogo De Chao.  I think it is one of our new favorites!   When you first walk in they have the meats cooking near the open fire....nice touch eh?

Here is a picture of the birthday boys.... with the huge birthday cookie... YUM!
Here we are... the LSU purple fans/shopping crew.  (without planning ahead we all wore purple when we met up to go to the mall.... who knew I was such a LSU fan.... Geaux TIGERS)  They helped me get a new wardrobe...while the hubby's were in class....Cesar decided to miss class to join in the fun... thanks ya'll!
Here is the shot of our table.  We had such a great time with everyone from AUC.

At this restraunt they give you these little red/green cards.  If you want them to keep bring you food/meat you keep it green.  When you need a break or are finished... you flip it to red.  It was AWESOME!  They had beef and chicken and pork cooked in different ways and it was DELICIOUS!  We had to roll out of there.

The weekend went by way to fast!  We had so much fun with everyone!  I can't wait to see ya'll again!!  Good luck with the rest of Falcon and the USMLE STEP 1!  Oh, and we will see you, BEN, in just 11 days!!! YIPPEE!!

Hooray for Dallas!

We are having sooo much fun in Dallas.  I haven't taken too many pictures but last night I did get a few.  We went out to Cuba Libre.... a very good Cuban food restaurant.  Then we went to the 300 club and played pool and a couple games of some serious bowling.  It was GREAT!!!

Cesar strutting his stuff.
Candace after one of her many strikes... LOL.
Diana and Jung.
Diana the pool shark and Brandon.
Yep, here's my hot husband.
Richie and Candace... Happy Birthday Richie!
Finally, us :)  We are having a great time but we both sure miss the girlies!  Thanks for taking them Sara and Grandma.

Sophee Mei Mei Grant

So here are a few pictures of the new baby.  I got to visit quickly in the NICU.  Sophee is still hooked up to her IV's and so is Mindy.  Hopefully everything goes well and they can come home tomorrow.  It all depends on the test results.  She sure is a cutie!
