Quick visit to family in Fredonia, AZ.

We were able to run out and visit with Ben's family in Fredonia for a couple of days. Here we are with our last living grandparent. Grandma Mary Carr.

Ben's brother Josh and his wife Tiffany were gracious enough to let us crash at their house. They made us so comfortable we didn't want to leave! Here is Holdyn with their daughter Emma. Holdyn just adores Emma! She always talks about her and wants to go to her house.

This is Kimber and I with our horse Cokey.
Here is Holdyn on Cokey.
This is cousin Emmie on one of their cows. Emmie is quite the bull rider :) We got to play with Emmie a few different days while we were home. Her mom, Kandice, cut Holdyn's hair while we were there. I'll have to get some better pictures of it. It's pretty cute and makes Holdyn even more sassy.
Here are Kenzie, Emma, and Holdyn feeding the cow.

This is Holdyn's super-model cousin, McKenzie.

The first part of a Great Thanksgiving Week!

Our Thanksgiving week started out great! My parents came to Bakersfield for a few days and took the girls and me home with them. Ben was on his 30 hour surgery call so he was gone Sun-Monday and then he worked Tuesday and came on up to St. George to be with us.

Here is a picture of Holdyn with her Turkey that she made for Grandma and Grandpa Baker. We really appreciated them coming to visit and then letting us tag along with them back home.
Here is Holdyn in one of her new favorite places, she even got Grandma Baker to come into her play zone with her!
Well, the week was full of family fun! Here is Kimber playing Uncle Brad in Chess. She is reminding him not to cheat in this picture.

Above is our present to my parents this year, they already had the nativity set but we made the stable part to add to the display. Below is the train we made them last year for Christmas. While we were there we got to help with a bit of the outside decorating. We love the lights and fun things my parents put up at their house! Can't wait to see the finished product when we are there in December.

Since the weather was nice we spent some time outside enjoying it! Kimber LOVES this little car and especially loves it when someone will push her around in it.

I also got to spend a few hours making hair bows with friends.
It was a great time! Thanks gals!

Cousin Adri and Holdyn loved going for rides in Grandpa's old car!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa and cousins and other family and friends who helped make our trip home for Thanksgiving so FUN!!! We LOVE YOU!

WHAT HAPPENED TO NOVEMBER?

Time is going by so fast! Next week is Thanksgiving for crying out loud!!! Didn't we just go trick or treating last night?! In some way's I'm glad because that is helping us get through this Med School stuff quickly, but in others I wish it could just slow down!

By some miracle, Ben was able to get off Thanksgiving day and the Fri-Sunday after!!! So we are packing up to come home! We are very excited! My parents will be here tomorrow and they are taking the girls and I back with them on Sunday. Ben has call on Sunday and Tues, so we wouldn't see him anyway. So it's working out perfect! He will drive up Wednesday morning to be with us!
Anyway, here are some picts of our latest and greatest :)

Bella, just chillin in her bed.
Here are the girlies. Our routine every night is to eat dinner, bathe, get ready for bed and wait for daddy to come home to tuck them in. Sad that he only gets to see them a few minutes, and sometimes not even at all if they get too sleepy! We'll be glad when surgery is OVER!
Here is our little Energizer girlie in the back yard.
She really does keep going, and going, and going, and going!

Kimber's new ride

We found this little trike at a yard sale for a few dollars.... can't beat that!
She's been loving Holdyn's bike so much we decided it was time for her to have her
own set of wheels :)
As you can see, she LOVES it!

A date with the 'Singer'

For the past few days I've been sitting at the Singer, letting the girls run wild while I worked on the mending that's been piling up the past year. I also volunteered to help make baby blankets for a humanitarian project the church is working on. (It's perfect since Ben is gone for 30 hours at a time... and only home to sleep before heading off to the OR again. We're sure glad he doesn't want to be a surgeon!)

Thanks to a Mother in Law who knows and actively participates in the 'art' of yard sales, I inherited this sewing machine that has already proved it is worth more than she paid for it :)
Here are a few of the blankets, now it's time to start working on Christmas presents :)

Blog book from blog2print.com

HERE IT IS! I was very excited to get the book yesterday in the mail and wanted to show it to some of you other bloggers who seemed interested. I've been wanting to do this for a long time so I'd have a hard copy of our family's happenings during the past few years. Anyway, here are some pictures of the final product. It is about the size of my HS year book and just as good of quality!

Anyway, there ya have it! blog2print.com is the place and I just received a code in my email for 20% off if you purchase a book before Nov. 7 if you are interested, it's a pretty good discount and the code is fall4b2p just put it in at checkout.

Preschool-Letter "I"

It was our turn to be in charge of pre-school this week. We had the letter 'i' Holdyn was, once again, my big helper in getting everything ready for the kids to come. We made an Igloo to play in. We played "I Spy Iggy the Iguana."

We learned about Indians and made indian necklaces and headbands.
For our snack we made indian fry bread.....yummmmmmy!
Of course Kimber has to be involved with the 'big kids.'
Anyway, our 'i' week turned out GREAT :)

Halloween Night

We had a great relaxing Halloween day. We decided to take the girls to a few neighbors early in the evening then we could be home for the Trick Or Treaters to come to our house. BOY DID THEY COME! We had 3 big bags of 100 candy bars each. Once they started coming, we barely closed the door, it was a steady stream of kids until about an hour later we had to close our door and turn the lights off because they cleaned us out! We ordered Chinese food from a great place down the street, Lam's, and enjoyed the rest of the evening! Kimber was glad it was the last time to dress up, but I think Holdyn is still going to be dressing up in her princess dress for awhile!
