Happy Halloween!!!!

We just got home from trick or treating in my parents neighborhood. The girls LOVED it!

These pictures are a bit out of order, but here they are.
Ben wasn't here to help carve pumpkins...so this is what we ended up with. The top one is an owl on a branch.

Cat in a boot
The bat!
Here is Holdyn the genie and Kimber the pirate.

Aunt Mindy came trick or treating with us....SOO FUN!

The girlio's did a good job helping clean out the pumpkin innards :) All in all it's been a good day. We miss Ben and are really excited to see him in just 2 weeks!

October in a flash

I've been slacking and haven't pulled out the camera as much as I should. Ben has been in Roswell, NM for two weeks now and has two left until he graduates MD School!!!! WAHOO!! Anyway, Here are the pictures that I did take the last few weeks.

Holdyn found her costume in my mom's old Halloween box...it is a genie costume that my mom made for my sisters and I when we were young. Holdyn LOVES it and is going to be a Genie this year for Halloween.
AARG!! Here is Kimber the Pirate!
Holdyn had her Preschool Halloween party this week, and she had a blast!
Here is Emma....SUPER-GIRL!
Dominique the Dinosaur was tired through the whole party.
Emma and Tay-Tay (the cutest little Elephant EVER!)

While Ben was home between Bakersfield and Roswell, we ran to the pumpkin patch in Kanab. The girls had a blast!!

Last but not least, Kimber is doing better and better with her treatments. Holdyn is the BEST big sister ever! Some mornings Kimber doesn't even want me to help her...she wants Holdyn! We are adjusting slowly and surely to our life with Cystic Fibrosis in the house. Kimber is a champ! I am taking her to her new CF Clinic at St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix on Monday. We will see how it goes! Hopefully, we will love them as much as we did PCMC!

The Percussion Vest is HERE!!

Kimber is doing pretty good at her treatments....an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening makes for a lot of treatment time! But, she is doing pretty good. Actually, these pictures are probably the only time she is actually doing good....she usually kicks and screams and cries that she doesn't want to do it, but she will get used to it :)
We've been having a heck of a time getting Kimber's Medications and equipment approved and here for her treatments. Well, today was a great day! The UPS man brought us a percussion vest! She likes it much better than the manual percussion (so do I).

Searching for Pine Nuts and a weenie roast!

We invited ourselves to go with Josh and Tiff and their kids up on the Kaibab to search for Pine nuts and have a cookout. It was super fun! The girls had a blast as usual!

Here is Emma and Holdyn (with her ding dong)
Kimber anxiously awaiting her ding dong :)

Enjoying the good outdoors!

A quick trip to Coral Pink Sand Dunes

Ben was fortunate enough to escape for a few days so he could be home when I brought Kimber Home from the hospital! We had a day to spend as a family so we ran to some Sand Dunes nearby. The girls had a BALL!

Here is Kimber making a sand angel.
Holdyn taking a power nap.
They loved sliding down the sand hill.

We had a super fun time and also had a nice picnic lunch. On our way out of the dune, however, we got stuck in a serious way. I wish I would have taken the camera out and snapped a few shots. We were in sand up to the truck's frame....twice! We said a family prayer to help us get out safely, and after Ben had let air out of the tires and we were almost dug out, a ranger came and gave us a tow :) The girls were so excited that Heavenly Father sent the ranger in answer to our prayer :) Don't you love the power of prayer!

Holdyn and Hogle Zoo

Holdyn had to come up to Primary Children's to be be tested for Cystic Fibrosis....it was the only test we want her to fail and we are proud to say, she failed it with flying colors :) While she was there we wanted to do something special with her since she'd been passed around to different aunts and uncles and grandparents....so Ben and I took her to the Hogle Zoo.

We all had a super great time! Holdyn did say she wished Kimber was there with us....it made me tear up... but next time we will be sure to go when she can go with us!!

The end of our Hospital Stay!

We had a great visit from Aunt BRENDA!! She ROCKED it and came for a sleepover with us at the hospital. She was super awesome about bringing the toenail paints and stickers!!! Kimber showed them off to all of the Nurses, Doctors, and RT's! Thanks Brenda!

Grandma Baker came to stay the last couple of days, it was nice to have her there, she was a lot of help and it was just good to have her around.
There are a few different volunteer dogs that come around to cheer kids up! Kimber LOVED this one named Jack.
Kimber finally got to escape from her room the last few days we were there, but she had to wear the little mask....she did really good about keeping it on.
