Team Holdyn-Kimber vs. the dust of Logandale, NV

We stopped at my brother Jason's home in Logandale, NV. It was about 115 when we got there and much too hot to do anything outside. As soon as the sun went behind the horizon it cooled down to 99 so the girls ran outside and enjoyed the 'cool' weather..... ha ha. They LOVED the dust and the chance to get dirty.

Looks like the dust won the battle.......YES, that is a dusted Kimber.....I think it took 3 shampoo's to get it out of her hair! Thanks Jason and Heidi for letting us stop and play at your house!

Happy Father's Day and Ben's Birthday!

We were in St. George for Ben's birthday! He had to study all day for his STEP 2 exam before we could do anything to celebrate. It wasn't as planned as I would have liked, but we still had a great time. We about set the house on fire with all of those candles, but lucky enough he had enough air to blow them out :) ha ha.

If you are wondering about the butter on his nose, it is a family tradition dating back a few generations.... I still don't know why or how it started, but we still do it. It is always good for a birthday pimple right on the nose.

Kimber sure knows how to have a good time.
Ben is lucky enough to have his birthday and Father's day just a couple days apart. We tried to spoil him rotten and shower him with love from his girls. I hope he enjoyed his special days. We sure love him and are so happy when he can spend time with 'his girls!'
We LOVE you Ben/DADDY!

Kimber's Birthday June 18

It is hard to believe our baby is 2! Kimber had a super fun day! We woke her up early so Ben could see her before he left for the day. She opened her presents (with a little help from Holdyn) and was so excited about each one.
We had our greatest friends over for Cake and ice cream to help Kimber celebrate. With help from Rachel she managed to blow out the two candles :)Holdyn enjoyed the cake too! Kimber is such a great addition to our family and most of the time she makes life so much more fun! She gets super duper excited and happy about the simplest things! We love you little Kimber!

Our new favorite Hobby

I know, you are all on pins and needles wondering what we are doing with all of our spare time (said with sarcasm:)....well, here it is. We are officially Disc Golf junkies. We actually aren't very good, but we are LOVING it! There are about 6 different disc courses around Bakersfield, and we've almost hit them all.

Here is Ben teeing off with his driver :) (I sound all technical)
This is what a pin or hole is. There are 3 different discs....at least that we have. The Driver, The Mid Range, and the putter. We are still working on technique and skill....but we are sure having a great time getting out and checking out the different courses.
Yep, we pretty much love it!

Visitors from Fredonia, AZ

Grandma and Grandpa Cluff were able to come visit for a few days! It was great! We played loads of Rook and Ben and I got slaughtered almost every time. It is a good thing we are such good sports and take losing so graciously :)

We also ran down to Hart Park to feed the Geese and a few ducks. Good thing they aren't picky. They finished off our stale chips and crackers for us.

Holdyn was also VERY excited to have McKayla stop in for a visit. If she has someone to play Dress up with she is in heaven! Thanks for the visits!

Randomness

Since living in California, most of you know that we've become the can/plastic bottle collectors. There is a place close by that we take them to get money for recycling. The girls appreciate all of the cans and bottles you family members save for us :) Each time we go to turn in the cans they both get soooo excited to run home to put the money in their banks. It's fun to see them get just as excited about pennies as they do about dollar bills. I'm sure they start to learn the value of each soon enough ;)

We've also raked it in on our 4X4' Garden. We've got beans!! Hopefully we will see a squash or two before it is time to move. But for now, the girls LOVE going out and picking the beans!
Here is a random but cute picture of Holdyn riding her bike, Lil' Bo Peep style. Thought it was cute so I had to share it.

More Fun with Friends!

Holdyn absolutely LOVES to be outside and play with her friends in the water. Here she is with little Nanna soaking up some sun rays!

Keilan, Nanna, Holdyn and Kimber enjoying the sweet, crisp and clear water....at least it was clear for a few minutes :)
