TRUNK OR TREAT!!!

We just got home from the Trunk or Treat party at the church! It was a blast! Here is the family in front of the car/Alligator. Turned out pretty fun!

Holdyn and Charlotte were once again joined at the hip! They went around from car to car Trick or Treating and had a BLAST as usual!

Rachel and Cody stopped by! It was great because I was running after Holdyn and Ben was taking care of the trunk or treaters at our car, so they took our poor tired Eeyore.

They had games, face painting and cup cake decorating in the gym. Here is Holdyn with a huge Clown, she wasn't sure what to think of him.
Holdyn and her face painted with the heart.
I was Pippi Longstockings and Ben was Sheriff Cluff :)
Here is our family picture by their back drop. Kimber was the perfect ornery/tired Eeyore.
This is just before we all got ready, Holdyn was following her daddy around wanting to be his little cow girl. Thought t was a cute picture, with her holding up her rifle.

Carving Pumpkins :)

We Had Rachel and Cody over last night to carve our pumpkins... funny enough both girls fell asleep super early! So, here are our 4 pumpkins! I'll have to get some picts of Rachel and Cody's finished products. Theirs really turned out AWESOME! If it were a competition they would have put us to shame :)

Keeping Kimber busy

We sometimes refer to Kimber as our high-maintenance girl. Since Ben is now gone A LOT, I'm glad Holdyn has stepped up to help me entertain little Kimber. She is always on the go...or at least wants to be!
Holdyn has taken it upon herself to teach Kimber to ride her bike. Kimber can't get enough. If she see's the bike outside, she just reaches for it and cries "bie, bie" She loves the helmet and everything!

I'm not sure if putting the frisbee/disc around her waist was her or Holdyn's idea. Either way, it took some tugging to get it off, but it kept her entertained for awhile.
She STILL isn't walking much. She can, she just prefers to crawl. She will push her stroller around and around... I'm hoping this will help her gain confidence so she'll go on her own.

She also loves to be in the dirt as much as she can!
They also love their bedtime stories. Sometimes
I can even get little Holdyn to read to her.

Pre School Halloween party

We had a GREAT time at our Joy-school Halloween Party yesterday. It is the second party we've been able to dress up for, but I didn't get any pictures of the first. Anyway, here are the kids playing and having a ball in their costumes!

We made some fun halloween masks!
Read some fun Halloween stories!
Kimber (Eeyore) and Ronan (Pooh) make quite the pair.
Holdyn (Belle) and Charlotte (Tinker Bell)
Here are the girlies before the party!

Fun Halloween Photo shoot!

I'll admit, I have no idea what I'm doing, but, since Ben is on call this weekend....we have a lot of spare time to fill (We won't see him until tomorrow afternoon). So this morning we had a fun photo shoot of the girls in our yard. I found these shirts at Target yesterday for $2 each... I couldn't pass it up. I don't dress my girls alike.....mostly because we haven't actually had to buy their clothes much..... we are fortunate enough to get hand-me-downs from friends and cousins! It's been a life-saver! But I do think it is cute when brothers and sisters are matchy matchy.... so here they are.

Here they are helping move the pumpkins to the next spot.

We had a hard time getting them to both look and smile at the same time... I probably took 60 pictures with lots of shots of the backs of their heads etc. But at least we got a few goodies:)

Zoom Zoom

More randomness

We are still doing great in Bakersfield!
Ben and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary on Wednesday. Well, we had our anniversary, but he was gone all day so we are going to celebrate today. What great adventures we've had in the first 4 years! I've loved every minute of it but hope we can settle down sometime during the next 4 years..... we will see!

Ben has two shelf exams today. One for Peds and the other is for OBGYN. Since he did awesome in both rotations I'm sure he'll do fine but wanted to wish him luck anyway!

Holdyn is doing great and learning lots in pre-school. She's got some fun friends and is a spazz whenever she is with other kids.

Kimber is finally starting to walk!! She's still fighting off her rash/allergies... I sure wish we could find out what is causing it! She's getting more and more fun each day as her personality is starting to come out.

Here are a few more picts. This is Holdyn doing one of her FAVORITE things.... painting! She also has one of those 'camera smiles' on.... what a cutie!
Kimber is finally starting to walk and climb. One of her new favorite spots is in or usually ON the desk and kitchen table.
I must say I am glad that both girls are taking after their daddy when it comes to mechanics. Whenever anything needs fixing (Or even when it doesn't) they know what to do with tools! Here they are working together on putting together Kimber's bed.
Anywho, that's the update for now!

They are at it again
