It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We've had a fun weekend getting ready for the Holiday season!! Tonight for Family Home Evening we made our gingerbread house....I think we ate more candy than we put on the house, but it was sure fun for us and the girls!

We decorated our house on Saturday and on Sunday morning when Holdyn came out into the front room she was soo excited and asked if there were presents from Santa for her. We told her no, but had her look outside. She did and there was snow!! She started dancing around singing that "It's CHRISTMAS!" It was so cute and fun! She is at a great age. Anyway, she hurried and put on her clothes and boots and ran out into the snow....we watched from inside and she came back in pretty quickly....both girls like to sing, "Baby it's cold outside."
Here is our little house with a few decorations and lights up. Just a few more to do and we will be ready for Santa!
Both girls crashed on the couch after we finished decorating the tree.

The stockings have been hung with care.....notice how mine is a wee bit shorter and yellow...that is because it was my stocking from when I was born and my cute mom made the others as they've joined the family. What an AWESOME talent she has! Thanks for sharing mom! Anyway, we are VERY excited at our house for Christmastime to begin!

Thanksgiving 2010

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving week. It was our year with the Baker side so we went and stayed there with my parents, and brother Adam and his awesome family! We had a blast! I also think Holdyn has found another favorite cousin, Adri. The two were inseparable from sun up to sun down.

Adri and Holdyn
The kids helped Grandpa rake up some of his bazillion leaves so they could jump in the piles! They all had a blast!
Kimber LOVES to help Grandma Baker....here she is washing dishes.
Here is one of the forts they built to sleep in. The girls had so much fun with their cousins.
Here is Aunt Martha reading to some of the kids. She was camp champ!
We watched some great movies!
Here is Kimber and Luke helping Grandma Baker with the infamous homemade rolls!
Here is a dogpile on Megan....looks like Luke is king of the mountain!
We really had a great time with loved ones!

We have so much to be thankful for and I hope we can always have gratitude in our hearts!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Sunday Morning

It truly is amazing we ever make it to church meetings on time....oh wait, we usually don't. But hey, we have fun trying.

After almost 2 months, we finally got Holdyn to try out Kimber's vest. Holdyn has been so scared and nervous about it, but now she knows what it feels like.

Welcome Home Picnic

We were SOOO Happy to have Ben come home and be FINISHED with medical school! We are so very proud of all he has done, does, and will do for us and others! One of the first things we did was pack a picnic lunch and take a drive in the hills as a family! Our girls love exploring, tree climbing, playing in the dirt and we all love to be together as a family!

Happy Halloween!!!!

We just got home from trick or treating in my parents neighborhood. The girls LOVED it!

These pictures are a bit out of order, but here they are.
Ben wasn't here to help carve pumpkins...so this is what we ended up with. The top one is an owl on a branch.

Cat in a boot
The bat!
Here is Holdyn the genie and Kimber the pirate.

Aunt Mindy came trick or treating with us....SOO FUN!

The girlio's did a good job helping clean out the pumpkin innards :) All in all it's been a good day. We miss Ben and are really excited to see him in just 2 weeks!

October in a flash

I've been slacking and haven't pulled out the camera as much as I should. Ben has been in Roswell, NM for two weeks now and has two left until he graduates MD School!!!! WAHOO!! Anyway, Here are the pictures that I did take the last few weeks.

Holdyn found her costume in my mom's old Halloween box...it is a genie costume that my mom made for my sisters and I when we were young. Holdyn LOVES it and is going to be a Genie this year for Halloween.
AARG!! Here is Kimber the Pirate!
Holdyn had her Preschool Halloween party this week, and she had a blast!
Here is Emma....SUPER-GIRL!
Dominique the Dinosaur was tired through the whole party.
Emma and Tay-Tay (the cutest little Elephant EVER!)

While Ben was home between Bakersfield and Roswell, we ran to the pumpkin patch in Kanab. The girls had a blast!!

Last but not least, Kimber is doing better and better with her treatments. Holdyn is the BEST big sister ever! Some mornings Kimber doesn't even want me to help her...she wants Holdyn! We are adjusting slowly and surely to our life with Cystic Fibrosis in the house. Kimber is a champ! I am taking her to her new CF Clinic at St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix on Monday. We will see how it goes! Hopefully, we will love them as much as we did PCMC!

The Percussion Vest is HERE!!

Kimber is doing pretty good at her treatments....an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening makes for a lot of treatment time! But, she is doing pretty good. Actually, these pictures are probably the only time she is actually doing good....she usually kicks and screams and cries that she doesn't want to do it, but she will get used to it :)
We've been having a heck of a time getting Kimber's Medications and equipment approved and here for her treatments. Well, today was a great day! The UPS man brought us a percussion vest! She likes it much better than the manual percussion (so do I).
