Happy 3rd Birthday Holdyn!

Holdyn celebrated the big 3rd birthday today! We love her so much!
She's been a real trooper the last three years!  Moving around the country and even moving OUT of the country.  She is very happy to finally have a place to call HOME! She's got quite the little attitude and she is very independent!  But she is also one of the sweetest big sisters I've ever seen!  She loves her little sister and is always such a BIG helper!
She's had so much fun singing "Happy Birthday to ME" all day long!
Here is Kimber waiting for her piece of Birthday Cake!
We got this car at a thrift shop the other day (We put socks on the wheels so we could drive it in the house on the wood floors.) It has been in the 110* Plus all week!!  So we've been staying inside to keep cool! The girls have been riding/driving in it NON STOP!
Here is Kimber ready for Holdyn to wake up to unwrap her presents!
We had to wake Holdyn up before her daddy went to the clinic so he could watch her unwrap her presents.
Here is a random picture of Kimber.
Kimber is SOO close to walking, she pushes Holdyn around and stands up on her own now, but still hasn't dared take that first step.
Here is Holdyn with one of her new coloring books.  As you can see she LOVES it!  She is very into art.  She got play dough, finger paints and lots of crayons and paper and stickers and she has been playing with them ALL DAY!  I think the finger paints are almost gone.

Bakersfield Visitors and more

Okay, this car was too good to pass up!  Ben and I were out on a date last night and we passed this car and had to turn back to get some pictures!  It is from some ranch and it is equipped with bull horns on the front, disco ball inside, A/C unit and a bail of Hay on the top with some suitcases and other random stuff.  It was HILLARIOUS!  Anyway, this is dedicated to my SIL Tiffany... she needs one of these when she moves to Texas!

We have also discovered that Bella LOVES water, it doesn't matter if you chuck a bucket at her or squirt with the hose... she can't get enough!  We also took her to a nearby dog park.  It is a HUGE fenced in area, it was fun to watch her run like crazy!  (luckily there were no other dogs there to worry about)

Holdyn and Kimber enjoyed watching Bella at the dog park from the stroller on top of the hill.
Both Ben's and my parents were able to make it out to visit last week.  It was fun to have them! We went out to dinner one night and discovered how much Kimber LOVES lemons!  She just kept eating it and making faces, then wanted more.
We also drove up to Lake Isabella.  It was quite the narrow windy road through the Kern River Gorge, but it was worth it!
Here is Holdy-locks playing on the rocks on the shore of the huge Lake.
Here are Grandma and Grandpa Baker by the lake.
Here is our little family along the shore of Lake Isabella.  We will have to make another trip up there with our fishing rods and swimming suits!

Ben is still enjoying his Peds rotation and we are LOVING the area that we are in! Thanks to Grandma's and Grandpa's for coming to visit!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

We are very thankful to be back in the USA to celebrate Independence day this year!  This is one holiday we missed while we were on St. Maarten!  Anyway, we are excited to celebrate here in Bakersfield!  We woke up early this morning to go to a pancake Breakfast hosted by our church. It was in the beautiful backyard of a member of the East Hills Ward.
Here is Ben walking around with Kimber at the breakfast.  It was a great chance to get to know some of the people in the area.

Kimber enjoyed it all :)  She probably out ate Holdyn on the pancakes.

Holdyn couldn't wait to get through her breakfast so she could go play on the play set and in the castle-like playhouse in the yard!

Here is the play house.  It looks like a little castle.  It had a mote with a little stream and a drawbridge and everything!

As the day has gone on, the temperature has gone UP!  It does get pretty warm here!  But we are loving it!
Kimber loves to chillax in her new birthday swing!  She would sit in this all day if we would let her!
Kimber is also on the verge of walking.  She pushes this chair around the floor and sometimes Holdyn jumps in for Kimber to push her too.
Here are the girls doing their daily horse race.  I'm still not sure who wins, but it sure is cute when they both get to riding!
Here is where we've been spending a lot of our time.  Holdyn in her pool and Kimber in the swing!  We're loving it here and can't wait to see the fireworks tonight!  They launch them close to our house so we can watch them from our own yard!!!!  We hope you all have a HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!!
