A day on Lake Powell

Today we went fishing with Grandpa Cluff at Lake Powell.  It is about an hour from Fredonia, AZ.  Where we are currently residing :)  Thanks Rebecca for watching Kimber for the day :)  We took Holdyn and she had a BLAST!
Here is Ben with the only fish of the day.  We were trying to catch striper but ended up with 1 bass.  We still had a blast anyway!

If you haven't been to Lake Powell it is a Beautiful lake with all sorts of rock formations.

Anyway, we are in the process of setting up our temporary 'camp' in Fredonia in Ben's parents' guest house.  I'll have to take some pictures when we get it put together :)

A Cold few days!

We've had a cold couple of days and it has felt GREAT!!!  We didn't get to enjoy any fall weather last year because we were on the island.  It was different being able to go swimming on Christmas.  Anyway, we were excited to pull out our sweaters and jackets and enjoy the 50 degree weather.  We walked up to the cemetery and decorated Charlton's grave for Halloween.

We also went and picked our pumpkins for Jack-O-Lanterns :)  and have both of the girls' costumes ready to go.  Holdyn is going to be a monkey and Kimber is going to be a little bunny.  Anyway, Ben takes the USMLE Step 1 on Friday so he is still studying hard and we are praying that he ROCKS it!

Anniversary and fishing trip

Here are Holdyn and Kimber.  Yes, Holdyn has a bottle of Diet Coke.   She randomly has been wanting bottles.   I think it is because the baby gets them...I'm not sure.  Anyway, we got a new camera for our anniversary and we LOVE it!
Here is Holdyn with her Cousin MJ.
Here is Kimber saying hello.
Ben and I got a babysitter for the afternoon and we went on a great four wheeler ride.  We rode and then hiked/scaled a cliff to these pictographs.  They are kind of hidden and not many people know about them.  They aren't very far from Ben's parents house.   If you look closely at them there is one that looks like it is representing childbirth.  They were pretty cool to see.
Here we are just before climbing down the cliff to the pictographs.

We then went out to Houston's, a restaurant in Kanab, UT for a nice dinner.  Ben has a chip in his mouth... that is why he has a funny grin :)
Thanks Grandma Cluff for watching the girls, even though they are both sick. Holdyn has had a temperature and Kimber has thrush and a very bad diaper rash.  She was a trooper to tackle them for the evening.
Today we went to some ponds to do some fishing.  It was VERY fun!  We caught about 12 fish total... bass and bluegill.  It was fun to get out with the family!

Oh, and lucky us!  We ran into this HUGE tarantula on our way back from fishing.  Anyway, we are having a great time!  Ben is taking the USMLE Step 1 in one week!  When he gets the results from that we will be able to rest and have more fun... but for now it is back to the books for Ben!

Hip Hooray for a daddy and Husband!

It was a very LONG seven weeks without Ben.  Holdyn went to the airport in Las Vegas with me to pick him up last Friday.  She didn't know what to think when he first came out.  She just had a HUGE grin on her face.  She didn't say anything... just watched her dad and smiled.  She hasn't let him out of her sight since!

We're all smiles here :)

We hit up Wendy's for lunch with Mindy, Sophee, Brittany and Julie and kiddo's.  We met up at a park for the kids to play then chowed down on some fried food!

A day in Las Vegas before the airport!

We had such a fun time having Rachel visit us!  It went by way to fast and we already miss her!
Yesterday, we dropped the girls off with my cousin and friend Kandice, then we headed to Las Vegas to enjoy one last day before she got on the airplane back to St. Maarten.

I had a blast with her and we ended the day with the show "mystere" by Cirque Du Soliel, at Treasure Island.  It was AWESOME!  There are some talented acrobats out there!!!
After the show, We drove down the strip one last time and went to the airport.  Thank you sooo much for coming Rachel!  We hope you had fun!!!
