Is it asking too much.....

The WINNING Photo!
If they were only smiling :)
I couldn't get them both to close their eyes at the same time if I tried!
Next to impossible to get them to both look at the same time!
Okay, so we just got these cutsie new dresses in a package and we had a few minutes to spare before heading to Stake Conference today. I wanted to snap a few pictures. Is it asking too much to get them both to sit still and smile for one shot? As you can see from the pictures and video.... the answer is YES!

Kern River Gorge picnic

We took a drive up the Kern River Gorge and had a picnic by the river on Saturday. The hills are greener than we've ever seen them since we've had so much rain lately. Anyway, we had a great day and the girls loved getting out in the hills to play!

A trip to CALM Zoo

Here is our first exhibit at the CALM zoo here in Bakersfield. The Cluff Monkey's
Ben got off work early and I scored a season family pass to the zoo for $15 on the radio, so we decided to take advantage and run to the zoo for a quick family outing.

The best part was feeding the goats!

There is also a little indoor place where kids can pretend like they are archeologists and uncover fossils and seashells in the sand with brushes.
SO FUN! Playing in the dirt anyplace is great!
Holdyn is uncovering a dinosaur bone in the picture below, as you can see she is super excited about it too.

Then we went home where the little monkeys continued to burn off energy riding their bikes around and around and around while daddy made ribs!

Presidents' Day

This is the day in reverse order....... Holdyn was pooped she likes to take over our bed and watch movies.... here she is watching "The rescuers Down Under"

Here is Bella at the dog park. She's getting pretty
good at catching her frisbee, even when we chuck it as hard as we can.

Since Holdyn is ALWAYS in her
'dress-ups' she was our little Cinderella, helping wash
the VERY dirty truck.
We went to Chic-Fil-A for lunch with Rachel and Cody.
Since Ben had the day off we decided to go do something fun.
We went to Camelot Park.... it has the only Mini-golf course
in all of Bakersfield.

Holdyn had loads of fun mini-golfing.... as you can see in the following pictures.... if she couldn't get it in the hole by hitting it with the putter, she just picked it up and threw it in.
By the end of the first 9 holes she was off playing in the grass, picking dandy-lions and blowing them into the wind.

Rachel and Cody came with us, and we had a super fun time!

The girls also enjoyed a few games of Skeeball.
Holdyn tried her luck with Wheel of Fortune.
They both loved the driving games.... we didn't even need to put in the tokes..... just needed a steering wheel and they were happy as can be!

Some fun in the California snow

Today we went for a drive up the mountain to see the snow and let the girls play for a bit. We had tons of fun! Ben made a make shift sled out of a booster seat and a part off a stationary Big Wheel, it looked cool, but the girls didn't like to ride it. Holdyn had fun digging in the snow and making a snowman. Kimber chilled, literally, and watched. Bella had a blast running around and chasing snowballs. It was a great day.

Valentine's.... Pre-school style

We had a very fun Valentine's Day party for Preschool. Here are the little baskets they made to put their Valentine's in :) The group is 'Kimber friendly' She gets to participate in all the fun activities.

Here is the crazy group of kiddo's.

Here is Li'l Kimber with her Valentine's goodies.

This is a picture before the party officially began. They were playing some serious blocks :)

PJ's and pictures

We were trying to get a few cute pictures to make Valentine's for Grandma's and Grandpa's.... these were the best ones.

A fun and rainy weekend in Logandale, NV

On my way home from one brother's house I stopped off to visit another! It was so fun to spend time with family and watch Holdyn and Kimber play with their cousins! Here is little Miss Brielle. She is always 'on the go' and cute to boot!

It was raining almost the whole 2 days we were there, but Heidi had fun things to do inside.
Here we are making fun Valentine crafts!

They have two birds that also entertained us. The girls loved them! Kimber looks pretty tired in this picture....probably because she was. Both girls did well for being on the go for a whole week and not being in their own beds!

Here is Boston with his bird Blue.
Anyway, Thanks for letting us stay at your place and play, and eat lots of junk food with you :)
Heidi made the point that it seems like every time I go visit something happends and we have to stay inside. A couple years ago, I went by their house and it turned out that one of their boys had meningitis and we were all put on 'lock down' for a week. It was awesome! Jason and I ran around with cans of Lysol spraying everything that Bridger and Heidi (who also got it) touched. GOOD TIMES!
