Ben had the day off yesterday for Memorial Day so we planned a day trip to Ruidoso, NM. We Had a blast driving through the mountains and seeing some of the sights. Apparently this area was the stomping ground for the infamous Billy the Kid. Anyway, on our way back we saw a little place on the side of the road with a petting zoo/horse rides/fishing and decided to stop.

and here is a cool old bridge we saw on the drive. Anyway, we definitely were able to enjoy the day together as a family.
We hope you all enjoyed your memorial day. Even though we weren't home to take flowers to our loved ones who've passed on, we do have them in our thoughts continually.

I love Ruidoso we drove there and met Chad and Danette in March before Daniel left on his mission and it was great. We rented a house there that had a hot tub out bake. It was heated with logs that we would have to stoke to get the water hot and it was a big huge whiskey barrel type thing is was great. I would love to go there again.
It's always a treat to have your husband on a day off so you and your family can have time together. Glad you guys had fun!
